The Charlotte chapter is meeting tonight at 6:30pm at Kickstand Charlotte!

The official Beard & Moustache Club of North Carolina - Charlotte chapter is hosting our monthly meeting in Plaza Midwood.
This gathering is for members and or interested folk only. During the meeting we will be going over memberships, community involvement, charity efforts, and the plans for the club over the next 3 to 4 months.

We're live webstreaming the Second Annual 2012 Carolina B.A.M. Competition tonight!

Keep your eyes peeled to the event front page for when the link goes live, which will happen between 4:00PM and 6:00PM tonight. You'll be able to see and hear the competitors on stage, and cry in angst as you see the fantastic medals being awarded to other beards and moustaches when you should have been here!

Moustachios, take note! Our category description was incorrect - Freestyle moustaches are allowed in the Styled Moustache category. This is also how it was communicated tp the judges. The have been updated.

We're taking what we did at last year's Carolina B.A.M. and expanding on it.
We're blowing this thing out!

After five years of calling M'Coul's home, we're trying a new monthly meeting location on for size.

Tuesday, June 5th, we'll be meeting at Sessions at 7:00pm. Located caddy-corner across from the Blind Tiger on Spring Garden Street, they have a brand spankin' new beer garden we'll be checking out!

We had 71 contestants from five states, nearly 300 people total crowd, and a fantastically fun time
And on top of it all, we raised over $3000 for the Triad portion Autism Society of North Carolina!

The wonderful crew at our local Fox affiliate - WGHP channel 8 - had us on this morning to talk about the upcoming competition and fundraiser. We had a blast, and I only wish we had captured Cindy Farmer's surprised reaction to Brian Quein's "Electric Starfish" shocking *ahem* outfit. Dang!

Our fourth and fifth judges have been announced - Mimi Perper, owner and head stylist of Figaro Salon and Father Christopher Foley! We are delighted to have them on our panel.

Our local Fox affiliate - WGHP channel 8 has recognized the interesting story around our Beard and Moustache Club, and they're having us on their morning show this Thursday at about 9:15AM. Set your DVR!

We're hosting the inaugural Carolina B.A.M. (Beard and Moustache) Competition next March, and it's going to be a doozy. For more details, check out the full story here.

We held our first annual BeardtoberFest competition on Thursday, October 13th, and raised nearly $600 for the Down Syndrome Network of Greater Greensboro! Over a hundred attendees came to our informal shindig, and 29 folks competed in the Moustache - Freestyle, Moustache - Natural, Corporate Beard, Southern Belle and Full Beard - Natural competitions!
